The Book of Joshua—Obedience in the Light of God's Faithfulness
Various Locations
After forty years in the wilderness, Moses has died, and Joshua has been commissioned to lead the Israelites into the promised land. Moses was certainly a tough act to follow, and the task was impossible, humanly speaking. But when God said, "Go," Joshua didn't hesitate. In this study, we will accompany Joshua as Jericho falls, Canaan is conquered, and the land is given to the twelve tribes. We will see God's grace, power and faithfulness, as well as Joshua's determined choice to obey. We'll explore how we can apply Joshua's example to our own lives, and we'll claim for ourselves his oft-quoted words, "As for me and my house we will serve the Lord."
