AWANA is an acronym for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed." It is taken from 2 Timothy 2:15, "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does no need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

As long as Lincoln Public Schools are closed, there will be no AWANA at Faith Bible Church. We will continue to do our part to slow the spread of COVID-19 for the health and safety of our community.

Awana meets each Wednesday night during the school year (September through April). Club starts at 6:30pm and is finished at 8:00pm.

What is the Purpose of Awana?

The goal of Awana is "to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him."
Thus, the purpose of Awana is twofold—evangelism and training.

To draw boys and girls from the community into the Club ministry, that they may hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and have opportunity to accept Him as Savior.

To prepare Clubbers to fulfill the Great Commission, Awana places a great amount of scripture memory as a high priority.
