March Mayhem: Marriage on Mission

Spoiler Alert! All during the Sochi 2014 Olympics my phone news updates began with this warning: Spoiler Alert! The idea being, if you wanted to enjoy the replay of the day’s competitions and live in the anxiety of suspense, read no further.

So here’s your warning: If you want to sit through the next several weeks of Sunday Gatherings at FBC in anticipation and expectation without knowing where it is going, read no further!

• No couple who marries is compatible
• Friendship is the non-negotiable foundation for enduring marriages
• You CAN be happy even though you are married!
• God does not desire that every person be a married person
• Marriage WILL change you
• Creation not culture defines marriage
• Regarding marriage, God has no “Plan B”
• Marriage is a major tool in God’s plan of preparing you for eternal glory

If you don’t understand Biblical “marriage” it will be most difficult to understand the narrative of the Scriptures. If you don’t understand the unfolding narrative of the Scriptures you will be powerless to understand the meaning of “marriage”.

Over the next several weeks we will unpack the beauty, the benefits, and the blessing of God’s design for marriage. And as we do we will discover encouragement and insight for those who are anticipating marriage, for those who have suffered the pain of failed marriage, for those who have never been married, for those who are called of God NOT to marry, and for every true lover of Jesus who longs for that final glorious marriage. In other words, “March Mayhem: Marriage on Mission” is a series of biblical studies just for you!
