Faithmen

Faithmen

We are radically committed to the responsibility of raising up godly men who will be examples.

Our goal is to build true servant-leaders for the home, the church, and everywhere else. For this reason we provide numerous opportunities for reading God’s Word together and encouraging one another in applying those truths to every area of our lives. Here are the studies that we currently have available for Winter 2018:

Men Seeking Wisdom

Led by Phil Waite
Tuesday mornings from 6:30-7:30am (weekly)
In the Conference Room

When facing life and its challenges, there is no better anchor for riding through the storms than to review the faithfulness of God and the character of God as He has revealed Himself in the lives of men of old. Need a mid-week word of encouragement? This study is for you!

Currently, this study is going through the Book of Exodus. Journey with the Israelites as they make their exit out of slavery in Egypt and follow Moses toward the Promised Land. Read with us as we study the way God deals faithfully with His chosen people. Men, the timing for you to join us could not be better. We are just beginning to read Exodus together!

Mid-Week in the Word
Judges: There Was No King

Led by Pastor Brad Myers
Wednesday evenings from 6:40-8:00pm (weekly)
In Room 1

Beginning where Joshua ends, the Book of Judges demonstrates a corrupt moral climate not unlike the one we are living in today, where “every man was doing what was right in his own eyes”. The study of this tragic account of how God was taken for granted by His children, yet remained faithful, serves as a perfect example to us of Christ on the cross. Disobedience always brings punishment, but His mercies remain.

 Scripture Study

Led by Bob Nyberg
Thursday mornings from 6:30-7:30am (weekly)
In the Living Room

Paul described the Christian life as a long race, and we as brothers in Christ need all of the help we can get to make it to the finish line in a way that pleases God. We use Philippians 3:12-14 as our model when we meet each week to study God’s word, pray for the different needs that those in the group have identified, and to support and bring accountability to one another in a loving way. We also solve all the world’s problems over coffee and donuts. Come and join us!

The Riches of Romans

Led by Dave Johnson
Thursday mornings from 6:30-7:30am (weekly)
At Studio951 in the Haymarket

This study is a good spiritual pick-me-up as the work week winds to an end. For men whose marketplace assignment is in the downtown loop, we meet one morning each week at Studio951 in the Haymarket, just above the dock at The Mill. We are presently finishing up an 11 book Old Testament survey. It’s worth the sacrifice required to rise early and drive down for this gathering around the Word!

Every Man A Warrior

Building Men so the Church Can Grow

This study helps men to succeed in the most significant issues of their lives including walking with God, marriage, raising children, money, moral purity, work, going through hard times, and making life count. For more information contact John Degner at john.emaw@gmail.com.
