Family Ministry
Faith Bible Church desires to help enrich marriages and encourage parents in the diligent training of children in order to guide the entire family to maturity and joyful Christian living. Teaching on marriage and parenting are also offered throughout the year through ministries such as Sunday school, FLOCKs, pre-marriage counseling for couples considering marriage, and Bible-centered discipling and counsel for church families during times of struggle. Improving Communication in Your Marriage
During the Spring Quarter (March-May), Bob & Pam Stelter will be leading a Sunday School class during the second hour (10:30-11:45am) from HomeBuilders titled, "Improving Communication in Your Marriage".
Communication has the power to make or break relationships. Help your marriage by improving the way you and your spouse communicate. This is a small group interactive study and includes a workbook (cost is $12). You’ll discover how to recognize the barriers that sometimes keep you from understanding each other, fight fair when conflict comes, and support each other through the trials of life.
FBC Marriage Study
Pastor George & Deb Lockyer lead a study for married and engaged couples titled, "Change and Your Relationships, A Mess Worth Making". 
This is an interactive study designed to help couples learn to:
1) Value their relationships
2) Understand why relationships are difficult
3) Rejoice in God's grace that can bring healthy, godly relationships
There are often deep issues that keep relationships less than God designed them to be. This study will give practical direction on conflict resolution, how to have difficult conversations, grant forgiveness, overlook weaknesses, and celebrate strengths by knowing & applying the gospel of grace.
This study will be held Monday evenings, 6:45-8:30pm at FBC (January 18th-March 29th). Cost for the materials is $26 per couple or $13 per person.
Baby Celebrations
Psalm 127:3-4 states, "Behold, children are a gift of the Lord; the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one's youth." At Faith Bible Church, we value children as indeed a gift from the Lord and a sign of the blessing of God. To celebrate this, it is our practice to offer to parents and their young children the opportunity to appeal to God to work on behalf of the child and remind parents of their responsibility before the church body.
The child blessing is a prayer using Scripture to ask God's favor and power to act on the life of the child and a reminder to parents of their Scriptural responsibility in raising their child. Pre-Marital Counseling
The marriage institution was a specific creation of God and is consistent with His plan for most individuals. Faith Bible Church is pleased to participate in the solemn act of marriage and is committed to following biblical patterns in assisting you in the process of preparing for your ceremony and for your marriage relationship in the years ahead.
Our pre-marital counseling consists of two parts: 1) Meeting with an elder as your primary mentor and 2) Seven group training sessions taught by couples from the FBC body.
