FBC Children's Ministries

The children's ministry is established to help children learn to put their confidence in God, not to forget the works of God, and to keep His commandments (Psalm 78:7).

We aim to impart to our children a God-honoring, Christ-centered, Spirit-enabled, Bible-saturated view of God, themselves, and the world that surrounds them in the hope they will belong wholly to the Lord, serve Him with all their might, and glorify Him in all they do.

1. Created in God's image, children are a gift from God and a sign of God's blessing. (Psalm 127:3)

2. Children are to be valued even before they are born as the unique work of God. God's image dwells in the mother's womb or anywhere there is the knitting together of human life. (Genesis 1:27; Psalm 139:13; James 3:9).

3. At Faith Bible Church, we will value children as much as we value other age groups. (Mark 10:13-16)

Our Ministries to Children

Nursery (Infant - 2 years old)
The nursery not only provides care for the basic needs of a child, but nurtures them by exposing the young children to prayer, the reading of God's Word, music, and lots of love. Nursery care is provided during both services on Sunday mornings and various other church activities.

Preschool (2 - 5 years old)
Our preschool program is provided during both hours of worship on Sunday mornings. Children will hear two different lessons each week. Through a time of God-centered teaching of the Bible, music and activities, children are having the seeds of faith, prayer and worship planted for their growth.

Elementary Sunday School (Kindergarten - 5th grade)
Faith is committed to families worshiping together. Therefore the same lesson is taught twice each week, so that children can attend Worship with their parents one of the hours and their Sunday School Class the other hour. Children learn that the Bible is first and foremost about God and salvation through Jesus Christ and that God alone is to be exalted as they learn to respond to the situations of life in truth.

AWANA (3 years old - 5th grade)
Wednesday nights, September through April. AWANA is an international program which introduces and reinforces the Gospel of Jesus Christ to children and disciples them through Bible stories, Scripture memorization, and strengthening character through times of games and activities.

Joyful Noyz Kids Choir (1st - 6th grade)
A choir made up of children in grades 1st through 6th. Joyful Noyz Children's Choir exists to teach our children healthy, correct singing and expressiveness to music in a fun, positive environment. Meets on Saturday mornings from 9:30 to 10:30, October - April.

Vacation Bible School (Kindergarten - 6th grade)
A one week summer program designed to provide children kindergarten through 6th grades with lessons and activities that direct them to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ and the greatness of God. Children are involved with a time of teaching, worship, crafts, and activities that reinforce certain truths each day.
VBS will be held Tuesday, June 22nd - Friday, June 25th, 2010. More details coming soon!

Kidz Kamp (4th - 5th grade)
Kidz Kamp is open to children going into 4th & 5th grades in Fall, 2010. Kamp will be Wednesday, August 4th - Friday, August 6th, 2010, at Calvin Crest Camp near Fremont, NE. Cost & info TBA!
